Quality Care You Can Trust In The Comfort Of Your Own Home

Thankyou for your interest ! This is a bit about my self. My name is Hollie Porter. I have been in health care for 9 years. I also have a degree in Equine Physiotherapy which I studied at York university. During my time in healthcare I witnessed what ear syringing could do for an elderly lady, and this is where my interest started as I saw through my own eyes what quality of life this procedure gave her. I studied the course in stoke on Trent. The lady that taught me is a first responder , registered nurse and also qualified in ear syringing , Dip. RN. BSc (Hons) I studied this course at care skills academy. I passed the theory to which I then had to pass the practical. I had to accumulate 6 + clients and get signed off by somebody already qualified in the criteria which I was also successful in. I use the Professional Propulse Ear Irrigation machine. This has controlled settings which I cannot change. This is deemed a lot safer by professionals than the old fashioned way of a hand held syringe. It pulses warm water through the ear canal and into the ear drum where it fetches the ear wax out.

Hear Clear Solutions offer ear wax removal in the comfort of your own home. Although an ear wax blockage might sound like a minor health issue, ear wax can cause serious pain and problems for many people. The ears are an incredibly sensitive part of the body, so built-up ear wax makes for a very uncomfortable day-to-day life. Those with a build-up of ear wax often report serious earache, hearing issues, tinnitus, a bad cough and even dizziness.

Earwax (proper name Cerumen) consists of shed skin cells, hair, and the secretions of the ceruminous and sebaceous glands of the outside ear canal. It is actually a very useful substance that helps to keep our ears healthy, although it can cause some issues.

Normally earwax does its job invisibly and very well. Sometimes however, the ear makes too much wax. If the wax becomes trapped inside the ear canal, it may form a plug known as an impaction. Excess wax can press against the eardrum blocking the outside ear canal or hearing aids, potentially causing hearing loss. This is more specifically called conductive hearing loss

What does an ear wax removal treatment involve?

There are a few different options when it comes to ear wax removal. All of the procedures are quick and easy and will provide immediate relief for those suffering from ear wax issues.

The most common method for ear wax removal is ear irrigation, where the ears are washed out to try and remove any blockages. In this treatment, a small pump pushes water into the ears.

It’s very important to remember not to try inserting such an object into your ear yourself, as this is very dangerous and could cause further health complications if the wax ends up being pushed further into your ears.

Where can I receive ear wax removal treatment?

It’s best to seek out a clinic or treatment provider where you can rest assured your ear wax removal treatment will be provided by a trained medical professional. At Hear Clear Solutions I take pride in the fact I am fully qualified and a trained professional, who will make you feel completely at ease during your treatment in your own home.

Who Can Receive Ear Wax Removal?

Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the appointment.

Ear wax MUST be softened with Olive Oil ear drops for at least 7 days before the appointment, and ideally longer, as some ears are more sensitive than others. This allows the ear wax to be softened to allow a easy and more effective process.
